Version 7.0.0.4116
Released 2026-10-05.
This release adds two new ways to sign in to Microsoft. The existing login methods (App Registration and Device Code) are unchanged, so existing installations keep working without any action. See Authentication Methods for how to choose, and Authentication Tips and Tricks for setup details per method.
New
- PKCE login method: A new Microsoft Login Method that signs in through a normal Microsoft sign-in window using the OAuth authorization code flow with PKCE (Proof Key for Code Exchange). It is a public client flow, so no client secret is needed. With the Client Id field blank it uses the SharePoint Connector's own multi-tenant app registration, so no app registration is needed in your tenant at all (Business Central Online). With a Client Id it uses your own app registration, set up under Mobile and desktop applications with Allow public client flows enabled. The sign-in returns to the standard Business Central
OAuthLanding.htmpage. If the browser blocks the pop-up, a Sign in button opens it. A wrongly registered redirect URI (AADSTS7000218 or AADSTS9002327) is recognized and explained. - PKCE is the default for new setups: A new SharePoint Setup starts with PKCE and a blank Client Id, so a first connection on Business Central Online only needs the Base URL, the document library and a click on Connect.
- Modern App Registration login method: Uses your own app registration with a client secret, and signs in through the standard Business Central OAuth module (the same sign-in window Business Central uses for its own Microsoft 365 integrations) against the Microsoft identity platform v2.0 endpoint. The redirect URL is the Business Central
OAuthLanding.htmpage, which is the same for all Business Central Online environments, so there is no per-environmentpage=70319501Callback URL to maintain. The refresh token from the sign-in is stored and renewed silently. Connect checks right away that the connection can be renewed, and reports a missing client secret, a closed sign-in window, or a missing delegated SharePoint permission (AADSTS65001) with a specific message. - SharePoint FactBox on Assembly Quote: The Assembly Quote page now has the SharePoint FactBox, like the Assembly Order. It shows the files for the quote when the Assembly Header table has a table mapping.
- Entra Tenant Id field: A new optional field on SharePoint Setup with the Directory (tenant) ID of the app registration, used by Modern App Registration and PKCE. Fill it in for a single-tenant app registration with PKCE, or with Modern App Registration on-premises when Business Central does not use Microsoft Entra authentication.
Changed
- Access token reused within a session: The connector now keeps the access token in the Business Central session until about five minutes before it expires, instead of renewing it at every check. Opening pages with the SharePoint FactBox no longer contacts Microsoft Entra every time.
- Setup page shows only the fields the login method uses: Client Id, Client Secret Value, Entra Tenant Id and Callback URL are greyed out when the selected Microsoft Login Method does not use them.
- Callback URL filled in per login method: A new setup starts with the
OAuthLanding.htmCallback URL that matches its PKCE login method, and selecting a Microsoft Login Method fills in the matching Callback URL (?page=70319501for App Registration,OAuthLanding.htmfor Modern App Registration and PKCE), and the field warns when the value does not fit the selected method. A blank Client Id no longer gives a warning, because it is valid for PKCE. - Larger tokens stored safely: Token values longer than 2,048 characters, such as a Business Central token cache, are now stored through the same separate-session mechanism as other tokens.
- Developer:
SP.GetSecretAccessToken(),SP.AddAuthorizationHeader()andSP.HasAccessToken()work for every login method; with Modern App RegistrationSP.GetAccessToken()can return an empty text. A newOnBeforeOpeningTemplateListevent lets an extension filter the templates offered by Generate Document. See Published Events Reference. - Permission sets were extended with the new sign-in objects.
Version 6.0.0.4109
Released 2026-09-14.
New
- Related SharePoint Documents FactBox on journals: The General Journal, Cash Receipt Journal, Payment Journal, Sales Journal, and Purchase Journal now have a second FactBox. For the selected journal line it lists the customer, vendor, or employee ledger entries the line is applied to, and the SharePoint documents stored for each of those entries. Use Open to download a document or Browse on SharePoint to open its folder. The list is filled in the background so the journal stays responsive. The FactBox is only visible when the relevant ledger entry tables have a table mapping.
- Rename mapped folder: The Change Mapping page has a new Rename mapped folder action. It renames the SharePoint folder a record is mapped to and updates every folder mapping that points to that folder or to one of its subfolders. The rename dialog shows the current name and offers the folder name the connector would generate for the record today as a one-click suggestion, which makes it easy to catch up after a customer or vendor was renamed. The base folder itself cannot be renamed. Partners can subscribe to the new
OnAfterRenameMappedFolderevent. - Welcome page: On installations that have not yet been registered, the SharePoint Setup page shows a one-time welcome page per user with an overview of the connector and an optional contact form. You can skip the form. The page needs Allow HttpClient Requests to be enabled for the app and offers to open Extension Management if it is not.
Fixed
- Batch upload of posted purchase documents: The Batch Upload Posted Purchase Invoices and Batch Upload Posted Purchase Credit Memos reports filtered by customer instead of vendor. They now use the vendor account type.
- Email attachments picked up the wrong folder: When attaching SharePoint files to an email, a flag from the previous record could remain set and the folder content of the wrong record was shown. The flag is now reset correctly, and folder content is retrieved with the record's own table mapping so multi-site setups resolve the right site and base folder.
- Adobe Sign token refresh: An invalid scope parameter was removed from the Adobe Sign token refresh request.
Changed
- The Change Mapping page now receives the record's table mapping, so browsing for a folder uses the correct site and base folder when several sites are configured.
- The print-to-SharePoint Word template used by the virtual printer was updated.
- Permission sets were extended with the new objects.
- Translations updated: All non-English translations were refreshed to cover every caption, tooltip, and message in the app, including the new Related Documents FactBox, rename dialog, and welcome page. Languages: Czech, Danish, German (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), Spanish (Mexico), Estonian, Finnish, French (France, Belgium, Canada, Switzerland), Icelandic, Italian (Italy, Switzerland), Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Dutch (Netherlands, Belgium), Polish, Russian, Swedish, and Chinese (Hong Kong, Taiwan).
Version 6.0.0.4100
Released 2026-08-05.
New
- Disable the FactBox from an extension: The SharePoint FactBox raises a new
OnBeforeActivatingAnythingevent with the table number before it activates. A partner extension can set the FactboxDisabled parameter to hide and deactivate the FactBox for specific tables or situations without changing the page extensions. See Adding the FactBox to Any Page.
Changed
- The caption of the Auto Email Sub Folder field on Table Mapping was corrected.
Version 6.0.0.4098
Released 2026-06-24.
Rebuild of 6.0.0.4097 with a new version number. No functional changes.
Version 6.0.0.4097
Released 2026-06-24.
Fixed
- Wildcard matching in conditional mappings: Wildcard filters used in alternative (conditional) mappings were evaluated through a temporary G/L Entry record. Users without permission to that table could get an error when the FactBox resolved a folder. Matching now uses a dedicated temporary table, WildCard Match, and the permission sets were updated accordingly.
Version 6.0.0.4095
Released 2026-06-03.
Fixed
- Corrupted files after drag-and-drop upload: Files dropped onto the FactBox that were larger than roughly 48 KB could be uploaded with corrupted content, because the Base64 payload was decoded in one piece and Business Central's decoder drifts on very long strings. The payload is now decoded in chunks, so dropped files of any size are stored exactly as they were on disk.
Changed
- Debug logging was removed from the drag-and-drop script.
Version 6.0.0.4093
Released 2026-05-28.
Rebuild of 6.0.0.4092 with a new version number. No functional changes.
Version 6.0.0.4092
Released 2026-05-28.
New
- Copy File: The FactBox has a new Copy File action for files. A destination picker lets you browse the document library, go to the parent or root folder, and choose Copy to this folder. The copy is performed server-side in SharePoint. Partners can intercept the action with the
OnBeforeCopyFileevent. - Document templates based on Report Layouts: Document generation can now use standard Business Central report layouts instead of Custom Report Layouts. A new Report Layout Selection field on the SharePoint Setup page chooses which template list the Generate Document action uses. The new page SharePoint Document Templates (Report Layout) holds the report-layout templates, and the existing template pages were renamed to SharePoint Document Templates (Custom Report Layouts). See Document Templates.
- FactBox on Posted Direct Transfer: The SharePoint FactBox was added to the Posted Direct Transfer page.
- Rename and copy in the API: The SharePoint codeunit gained RenameFile, RenameFolder, CopyFileSameDocumentLibrary, and CopyFileDifferentLibraries procedures for partner extensions.
Security
- Secrets moved to encrypted Isolated Storage: The SharePoint Client Secret, the DocuSign Integration Secret, and the Adobe Sign Integration Secret are no longer stored in table fields. An upgrade step moves existing values into encrypted Isolated Storage and clears the old fields, which are now marked obsolete. The setup pages show the secrets as masked fields, and the Client Secret field still warns when the value looks like a Secret ID instead of a Secret Value.
Fixed
- File Details download errors: If a file could not be downloaded from SharePoint, the File Details page showed empty content. It now reports the failure with the file name.
- Adobe Sign status on File Details: The Adobe Sign status was read from the DocuSign status field and therefore never shown. It now shows the Adobe Sign status.
- E-signing token refresh accepted failures: Token refresh for DocuSign and Adobe Sign treated an HTTP 400 response as success and could continue with an empty token. Only HTTP 200 is now accepted, and the refresh result is returned to the caller.
- Access verification after login: The OAuth login page verifies access to SharePoint as soon as the login completes, so problems surface immediately instead of on the first FactBox use.
Version 6.0.0.4091
Released 2026-03-31.
Rebuild of 6.0.0.4090 with a new version number. No functional changes.
Version 6.0.0.4090
Released 2026-03-30.
Fixed
- SharePoint Setup page failed to open: When the setup status check raised an error, for example because the connection was not yet configured, the SharePoint Setup page itself could fail to open. The check now runs in a protected call, and the page opens with the mapping count and status it can determine.
Version 6.0.0.4088
Released 2026-03-24.
Changed
- Inherited Dynamic mapping helpers: The ClearSaved and CopyInherit procedures used by the Inherited Dynamic mapping method are now public, so partner extensions can drive inheritance for their own tables. See Mapping Methods.
Version 6.0.0.4087
Released 2026-03-17.
Fixed
- Missing mapped folders are re-created: For the Name (Number) and Inherited Dynamic mapping methods, a record that already had a folder mapping but whose folder had been deleted in SharePoint did not get its folder re-created. Folder lookup now re-creates the folder when it is asked to.
Version 6.0.0.4086
Released 2026-03-05.
Fixed
- Incoming Documents from a SharePoint folder: The SharePoint folder source now verifies and refreshes the access token before reading the folder, so scheduled runs from the job queue no longer fail with authentication errors after the token expires.
- Double slashes in folder paths: Folder paths built from mappings are normalized so that double slashes are removed before the path is used.
Upgrade Notes
- Upgrading from a version before 6.0.0.4092 moves your Client Secret and e-signing integration secrets into encrypted Isolated Storage automatically. No action is needed, but if a setup page shows an empty secret after upgrade, re-enter it once.
- The Related Documents FactBox on journals appears only when the underlying ledger entry tables are mapped. See Table Mapping.
- The welcome page appears once per user on unregistered installations. Registering the app suppresses it. See Post-Install Activation.
