The 2.0 line significantly expands provider choice and agent capabilities.

More AI Providers

  • Eight additional providers, bringing the supported total to 12: Google Gemini, xAI Grok, Mistral, DeepSeek, Moonshot Kimi, Alibaba Qwen, Zhipu GLM, and MiniMax (joining Azure Open AI, ChatGPT Open AI, Anthropic (Claude), and LM Studio)
  • On first setup, 11 provider entries are auto-created (all except Azure Open AI); you add your API key(s) for the provider(s) you use

SQL Query Engine for Agents

  • run_sql_query — read-only SQL SELECT over Business Central tables (supports JOINs, GROUP BY, aggregates, UNION; capped at 1000 rows)
  • find_table and get_fields_in_table — schema-discovery tools that help agents locate tables and fields

Saved and Resumable Conversations

  • Interactive chats are auto-saved to a per-user AI Conversations list after each completed reply
  • Resume Conversation reloads a past chat; New Conversation starts fresh while keeping the prior one saved
  • Available in both the Role Center Interactive Agent and the Ad Hoc Agent

Email Notifications

  • send_email_notification tool lets agents email a workload's configured recipients
  • Requires the Email Recipients field on the workload and a configured BC Email Account

Excel Output

  • create_new_sheet, update_cell, and save_sheet tools let agents generate .xlsx files
  • Generated files appear on the Agent Work list for download

Other Tools

  • upload_document_to_current_datacontext — attach a generated document to the current data context

Licensing

  • Production use now requires a purchased license key; the extension remains free in a SaaS sandbox (demo mode)
  • License validation is performed online against the Hougaard license server; the key and expiration are stored in IsolatedStorage per tenant and environment

Known Limitations
