Advanced Cloud Security is designed for Business Central SaaS (cloud) environments. It leverages modern AL runtime features that require recent platform versions.

Licensing Requirements
Trial Mode
When running in a sandbox environment, Advanced Cloud Security operates in full trial mode:
- All features available
- No registration required
- Ideal for testing and evaluation
Production Use
For production environments, a valid license is required:
- Register at hougaard.com
- License tied to your Business Central tenant
- Separate compliance module license available

Permission Set
One permission set is included with the app:

Administrators who configure security features need the ACS EFQ permission set. Regular end users do not need a separate permission set — ACS security evaluation is handled automatically through the generated extension's inherent permissions.
Network Requirements
Advanced Cloud Security requires standard Business Central network connectivity. No additional firewall rules or network configuration is needed.
Application Insights
ACS includes Application Insights integration for telemetry and diagnostics. This sends anonymized usage data and error reports to help improve the product.
Storage Requirements
The extension adds the following data:
- Security feature definitions
- User security assignments
- Compliance configuration
- Compliance log entries (if using compliance module)
Storage usage scales with:
- Number of security features defined
- Number of users with security assignments
- Volume of compliance-tracked changes (if using compliance)
Performance Considerations
- Security checks are performed at page load time
- Filter caching minimizes runtime overhead
- First page load after login may be slightly slower due to security evaluation
- Subsequent page loads use cached security settings
